Mirror Of Yourself
It’s About The Connection
Leadership is About Connection
It’s rare that one can have an authentic experience that truly reflects who you are in the moment.
Horses are unique in that they don’t see race, color, socioeconomic status, or the letters next to your name. Their ability to see your true self is what makes them majestic.
Bri and Rob Gallo have been running self-reflective workshops that focus on teaching people that the most effective communication relies on our non-verbal actions and personal motivations as much as it does rational thought and speaking. Having been around horses most of their life, they have created a workshop that helps develop the building blocks for a successful workplace.
“How we truly feel about ourselves and how we deal with others is reflected in how a horse interacts with you,” says Rob. “Horses are an incredible metaphor for how we deal with family as well as our colleagues.”
Bri and Rob offer many different programs ranging from a few hours to multiple days. When people have difficulty interacting with a horse, it usually stems from a lack of trust on the horse’s part. By guiding people on how to gain a horse’s trust, we are teaching them how to be leaders without using pressure or words. This is a transformational experience for the participant as well as the horse. As we explore how to use “pressure “in an effective way, we realize that we need to redefine how we interact with others. We realize that the concept of “leadership” is complex. And if we aspire to work effectively with others, we need to first look in the mirror and then maybe take a few lessons from a horse!
